In Grade 5 our UOI topic is the Human Body. So, our teachers try to relates the Math task with the UOI topic and they did it. Our Math topic is now the Metric system.
On the lesson we measure a lot of thing which are:
Our friends Body Height, From Phalanges to Phalanges, Nose, Pointer, Radius, Humerous, and Pelvis. We have to measure each of our group members, my group are Hesky, Natasha, and Vanessa.
The process started with Ibu Hanna gave us 3 tape ruler to measure our friends. Some instruction was given like if we want to measure our friends body height the friend have to stand in front of the door. If we want to measure our friend phalanges to phalanges they have to stand in the front of the white board.
Then we start measuring. Our group first start measuring Hesky. Then we measure Vanessa. And it was my turn. Next was Natasha, but sadly we can’t finish measuring her on time. So we’ve got a time later on break time.
After we do the task we reflect again and Ibu Hanna told us some metric magic like for example:
If we measure our body height it will be the same as our phalanges to phalanges.
Our two pointer phalanges will be the same as our nose.
If our pelvis is divide by 2 it will be the same as our radius.
